Cotup SMS program

Cotup Account Notifications is an informational SMS program for phone verification and high-signal account alerts. This page is the public record of how we collect consent.

Opt-in

Users give consent with an unchecked checkbox next to this disclosure. Checking the box is optional and is not required to create or use a Cotup account. We do not pre-select the checkbox.

Where consent is collected

  • /signup — optional phone number during account creation
  • /onboarding — phone verification step after signup
  • Account Settings → Verification, and Account Settings → General when adding or changing a phone number
  • Profile → Edit profile, when phone is not yet verified

What we send

After opt-in we send verification codes through Twilio Verify and account notifications (direct messages, connection requests, mentions, and verification status) through a Twilio Messaging Service. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

How to opt out

Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help, or START to re-subscribe. Keyword handling is enabled on Cotup's Twilio Messaging Service (Advanced Opt-Out). You can also turn off SMS in Account Settings. Customer care: hello@cotup.ai.

Use case for reviewers

Cotup is a credential-verified professional network. Users opt in via an unchecked web checkbox at signup, onboarding, or account settings when they provide a mobile number. We send SMS verification codes through Twilio Verify and high-signal account notifications through a Twilio Messaging Service. Users may reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Message frequency varies. Consent is recorded in Cotup's consent ledger.
